EDeN Update: 15X performance + half adder demo
Please see below a demonstration of the latest improvements to EDeN!
This shows in real time a roughly 15x improvements in performance , executing a simple half adder dataset test.
As per the original paper (https://arxiv.org/abs/2103.15552) we do not use back propagation. But instead train for adaptive neuronal spikes from ‘decaying’ energy from stimulus into different neurotransmitters with genetic encoding of morphology.

EDeN Update: Spiking network renderer
Please see below a tutorial video for the new ‘spikerenderer’ this shows how the EDeN network is propagating spikes from input links to output probes. It also comes with a variety of nice shader backgrounds to keep your attention.

EDeN Update: MACOS Build completed and released to Beta for testing
A few months have passed and the MAC Build is now fully up and running!
And what a tonne of work it has been….
Given the MACOS doesn’t have a clean IDE like visualstudio that wraps all projects together, combined with apple silicon, intel silicon, backwards compatability issues etc, there has been quite a lot of work , far more than expected.
However, in doing this – it opens up the entire solution (python C++,C# training environment) to MACOS users
Please see the below diagram showing the high level project diagram. Tutorials and examples will follow after benchmarking is proving reliable results.
